The Unfixed Line

This collection began at the Kralingse Plas, a lake on the edge of Rotterdam. Marlike Marks went there without knowing what she was looking for. Only later, while reviewing the images, she noticed how often water returned — its surface, reflections, and the life moving beneath.

What followed became a self-imposed ritual: returning weekly to photograph the water again and again, allowing observation, repetition, and curiosity to guide the work.
