Strange Clouds

Strange Clouds was made during the first months of the global pandemic in 2020, when everyday life came to an abrupt standstill. For me, this period of quarantine marked the beginning of a new body of work. I started a photographic journal, making daily Polaroids that recorded my suddenly altered reality of staying indoors, without work and without company.

My home and immediate surroundings became the canvas for the series. Through self-portraits and still lifes, I intuitively documented my daily life, emotions, and state of mind. Each image is unique, not reproducible: a frozen moment from my life, captured in a single Polaroid.

All Polaroids were sold directly via Instagram during this period and are now sold out. The complete series was later brought together in a book of which a small number of copies is still available.
