DAYS WITH STEF

This long-term project centers around Stef, it is a coming of age story about a boy who grows up and develops his own identity. Simultaneously it explores universal concepts of family and offers new representations of queer parenting and family structures.

Stef lives with his mothers Danielle and Jeannette in Rotterdam, but he regularly spends his weekends and holidays in Amersfoort with his dads and foster brothers. Over the next years I will document Stef and his extraordinary family, by temporarily becoming part of their lives; celebrating his birthday, joining them on vacation or simply spending my summer evening in their backyard.
