Days with stef
This long-term project follows Stef as he comes of age within a family that defies traditional boundaries. It offers new representations of queer parenting and family structures, quietly observing how relationships, routines, and small gestures shape identity over time. The photographs capture fleeting, intimate moments such as birthdays, shared meals, and summer evenings, offering a subtle witness to the passage of time.
Stef lives with his mothers in Rotterdam and spends weekends and holidays with his dads and foster brothers in Amersfoort. Over the years, these moments are quietly documented. In the images, childhood and adolescence are shown as fragile and transient, yet fully present, echoing the way photography both preserves and exposes the fleeting nature of youth.
