While I am Here
In 2025, I began returning to familiar places with my camera. There was no specific goal, only the intention to slow down, to pay attention, and to be present.
What started as a weekly walk gradually became a practice. By returning to the same landscapes, paths, and small corners, I began to notice details that would have remained invisible at first glance. A certain reflection on the water, the movement of light, the changing colours of the sky, the way a place slowly transforms through the seasons. The familiar did not become repetitive, but revealed itself as something constantly changing.
Over time, these repeated visits became a series of self-imposed rituals. Sometimes the ritual is to return to the same place each week; sometimes it is to look at the same view, follow the same route, or photograph the same subject again and again.
The photographs are traces of this ongoing attention. They are moments of staying, of looking without the need to conclude. A reminder that sometimes nothing needs to change in order for us to see differently.
"And what if the sky here is no different
Than the sky of my childhood?
The water moves the same, the reeds lean,
And yet I return, searching for something unseen.”
