I was searching for something, and I found something else

In 2025, I started a weekly walk at the Kralingse Plas, with no clear aim but to slow down and simply be there. The landscape revealed itself differently with each visit, and at times the light and the colors seemed to carry me somewhere else.

What I found was not stillness, but a quiet obsession: a sense of being drawn back, without reason, yet with deep pleasure. The act of returning became a ritual, showing up each week, in every kind of weather, attentive to what changes and what remains.

Through this repetition, seasons and small rhythms revealed themselves. The work became less about searching, and more about noticing. By returning every week, I rediscovered the joy of photography: lingering, looking closely, and capturing the fleeting moments that make each Monday feel meaningful.
